University of Aberdeen’s new training centre, exploHUB, has joined the Petrosys Educational Software Grant Program. The grant program provides not-for-profit organisations with free licenses of Petrosys® to aid in the development and education of future geoscience experts through access to the industry’s most effective, proven mapping, modeling and data management software.
The licenses will be made available to the trainees during their 9 month program leading to a professional qualification in Hydrocarbon Exploration. exploHUB, which opened in 2011, is a joint industry and academia training centre focusing on hydrocarbon exploration in a simulated exploration company environment. The hands-on participation exposes trainees to experienced tutors and modern data and software and equips them with the necessary skills and creativity to become world-class explorationists.
