Mapping out a path for DUG integration with Petrosys
Petrosys has announced today that DUG Insight 3 Integration will be available as part of the upcoming Petrosys v17.5 release. The release is currently expected some time during the 2013/14 Australian summer.
Petrosys and DownUnder GeoSolutions (DUG) established a collaborative development partnership in early 2013, driven by customer demand for tighter integration between the products produced by each company. As a result of the collaborative effort made by the development teams at both Petrosys and DUG, it is now possible for the Petrosys application suite to establish a direct connection to DUG Insight, allowing for a more thorough integration with the interpretive knowledge provided by DUG.

The direct-connectivity capabilities of Petrosys are also actively being extended to take advantage of the up-coming Insight 3 release. Users can look forward to directly mapping interpretation and fault data from Insight in Petrosys. In addition, geoscientists can incorporate interpretation data from Insight into trusted Petrosys gridding & volumetrics workflows. It will then be possible to upload surfaces produced by Petrosys back into Insight, to aid the interpretation process.
Petrosys is used globally in E&P sub-surface mapping and modeling to bring together information from industry leading interpretation systems. Giving clients the opportunity to capitalize on the benefits provided by DUG Insight, as well as those provided by other data sources, will create new opportunities for selecting the most effective mix of technologies, allowing for the seamless integration of interpretive results.
Petrosys will be on hand at APPEA Brisbane and EAGE London in May and June 2013 to provide a more detailed understanding of the integration with DUG.
