It’s been another positive and busy start to the year here at Petrosys and it’s shaping up to be even more action-packed over the next couple of months.

After the success of the Petrosys PRO 2018 series which introduced popular new developments, such the LCC – Lowest Closing Contour, as one of our clients commented, “a very cool” addition to PRO, our development team have been hard at work putting the finishing touches to our eagerly anticipated Petrosys PRO 2019 released in early April.  We’re excited for you to see the new features and improvements that have been developed, visit our webinars page to find out more about up-coming 2019 what’s new webinars.

Petrosys PRO 2019 solidifies the software’s position in the production world by focusing on well data improvements. Petrosys PRO is widely used by production teams globally and after discussing their needs with regards to well data, we have concentrated our development on exchanging well log data and have made some major improvements to the display of well data targeted around attributes of producing zones, sands and reservoir segments. There are more enhancements under wraps and deep in development for the 2019.2 release.

dbMap 2019.1 release is also nearing launch, some of the highlight’s customers can expect are; the introduction of a new Petrosys Well Log Viewer and Common Risk Segment support for PLDB.

Our teams around the world are currently getting ready for an ‘around the world in 25 days’ trade show tour starting in Calgary at GeoConvention on 13th May and ending up at the EAGE London 2019 in June, with stops off at AAPG ACE San Antonio and APPEA 2019 in Brisbane. At APPEA 2019 in Brisbane be sure to visit GPinfo who will in 2019 be launching their 30th Anniversary edition of the GPinfo Petroleum Permits Map.  This is a great achievement and we would like to thank all of the map sponsors over the last 30 years for their continued support. In addition, the latest GPinfo update has just gone live. It includes many data additions; UWHI for 15,000 Australian wells, a Jurisdiction flag for offshore permits, 150 MGPALAEO  wells in the Perth Basin, 65 proposed Federal areas and much more.

During March our growing RFD team presented new insights and capabilities around the very popular tNav platform at a user group meeting in Perth. The event was a great success with 60 attendees taking part in the workshop. A special shout out and big thank you to our guest speakers who presented their expertise and ideas on; scalable cloud deployments; new eras in static and geological modelling; rapid history matching approaches; uncertainty and truths; modelling well performance; and optimising well placement.
