The course is designed to give attendees practical experience in processing Marine seismic data from field data to final migration. The content includes:

  • Signal processing

  • Velocity analysis
  • Imaging : DMO / PreSTM / PostSTM
  • Producing final SEG-Y products

Advanced 2D Marine and 3D Marine Geometry Seismic Processing 

The course is designed to give attendees practical experience in advanced seismic processing techniques.

  • Broadband Processing including Deghosting, Inverse Q Compensation, and Spectral Whitening.
  • 2D SRME Modelling and Adaptive Subtraction.
  • Tau-P Domain DBS and Muting.
  • High-Resolution PRT Demultiple.
  • Pre-Stack Time Migration.
  • 3D Marine Geometry and Binning.

The datasets are from offshore New Zealand in the Taranaki Basin and the Hawkes Bay, these will be used in conjunction with supplied workflows and support data.
