GLOBEClaritas v. 2025.1

GLOBEClaritas V2025.1.1 – Elevating Your Seismic Processing Experience

GLOBEClaritas is excited to announce the release of V.2025.1.1, a feature-rich update designed to improve efficiency, accuracy, and usability. This update introduces new tools to streamline workflows, enhance data visualization, and support the latest operating systems, helping users unlock deeper geological insights.

What’s New in 2025.1.1?

Improved Python Environment Management
Claritas now creates and manages its own Python virtual environment upon installation. This approach allows us to manage package versions independently, preventing conflicts with the operating system or any other user-installed packages.

  • Users can launch it using the clstart command.

Surface Consistent Deconvolution
A new module that enhances spectral accuracy in seismic data analysis, leading to improved imaging and interpretation. It performs 5-component, multi-factor, surface-consistent deconvolution, estimating shot, receiver, mid-point, offset, and azimuth corrections.

Enhanced MPI Support
Claritas has transitioned from MPICH3 to OpenMPI for MPI applications, providing improved compatibility and performance.

New Multiple Model Optimization Solution
This release introduces WANGSHIFT, a new module designed to optimize multiple models from SRME2D/3D and MULMOD, enhancing the adaptive subtraction workflow. It improves the effectiveness of WANGSUBT by shifting the multiple model to better align with the recorded data.

Improved Data Visualization and QC
This release introduces the first version of our Python-based seismic viewer. Users can compare datasets, with support for both pre-stack and post-stack seismic data. Future updates will expand the functionality of this tool, further enhancing seismic QC and interpretation.

The new viewer includes a variety of existing analysis tools, including:

  • Frequency Spectra (Traces)
  • Instantaneous Phase, Frequency, Amplitude
  • Cosine of Instantaneous Phase
  • FK Spectrum
  • Autocorrelation
  • Text Header Data

Handling Complex Geometries with Greater Precision
The Geometry application now features an improved Hit-point definition method, making it more effective for Ultra High-Resolution (UHR) seismic data. This ensures that CDP lines remain within an acceptable distance of the sailed line, improving accuracy in difficult survey environments. These updates provide greater flexibility and control when managing complex geometries, especially in the Wind Energy Sector.
