EPOS4 well, grid and culture data and GIS information from ESRI file geodatabases are amongst the additional data sources now accessible from the Petrosys map and 3D canvases, and as input to Petrosys' industry leading subsurface data modeling.
Exploiting increasingly challenging reservoirs across a wide range of geological and economic environments, the petroleum E&P industry is highly dependent on being able to access the latest seismic interpretation and reservoir modeling tools available. The 'best tools for the job' often require picking individual applications on the basis of the specific E&P environment. Petrosys allows the roll-up of specialized interpretation data from many different applications into consistent presentations that consolidate knowledge and facilitate planning and operation of further exploration and field development programs.
Built with feedback from a number of key E&P companies, the Petrosys 17.1 extensions leverage the group's ongoing investment in high quality software engineering to provide EPOS4 well, grid and culture data access with a familiar user interface that requires no additional training whilst still accessing Paradigm specific features.
Being able to take GIS data on the road is particularly important to New Ventures teams who spend much of their time working from laptops and in data rooms. With this in mind Petrosys has added support for ESRI file geodatabases to the Display/GIS functionality in 17.1. The file geodatabase offers greater capacity and better performance than the personal geodatabase that it replaces, and more flexibility than static shapefiles.
